This is my twelfth year as teacher / librarian at Geneva Middle School. Prior to teaching, I was co-owner and program director of Tiny Tots Daycare and Learning Center in Andalusia. We had an annual enrollment of one hundred students for many years. We had an excellent pre-school and after school program. I was President of Covington County Daycare Association and several civic/professional clubs.
I've been happily married to Mickey Bennett for twenty-six years, and we have one daughter. I love to read inspirational books; my favorite author is Max Lucado. I enjoy spending time with my family and going to the beach. It is my desire to motivate each student to have an appreciation for reading and introduce the technology skills needed to prepare them for the twenty-first century. It is my goal to teach innovative strategies as well as continue to grow as an educator. Finally, I feel that teaching is the most exciting career that one could ever embark!
